Kalahari Resources is a broad based black economic empowerment company incorporated in South Africa. It was founded to explore mining opportunities and its main asset is its investment in Kalagadi Manganese. Management
Kalagadi will employ and build up their management during the project phase to ensure that the mine, sinter and smelter management teams are well established before commissioning and ramp-up commence. The current management of Kalagadi has successfully taken the project to its current level and is confident that in the next 12 to 18 months it will secure the rest of the staff and other resources required to complete the project.
As part of the shareholders agreement between Kalagadi, Kalahari and ArcelorMittal, ArcelorMittal has committed itself to a Business Assistance Agreement. This agreement foresees that ArcelorMittal provides strategic and business planning as well as technical, operational, commercial, financial or similar assistance for the Project. The agreement is valid for a period of 5 years from June 2008.
Mrs. Daphne Mashile-NkosiExecutive Chairperson
Daphne is the executive chairperson of the Kalagadi Manganese. She is also the chairperson and founder of Kalahari Resources and holds a number of positions in other organisations such as;

- Chairperson of Women’s Development Bank Investments Holdings (Pty) Ltd,

Non executive directors
Abel Malinga BSc. and MSc.Non Executive Director
Abel is Head of Mining and Beneficiation at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). He has many years of experience in mining and financial sectors.
Abel has been involved in project development and funding in the resources and agricultural sectors.
He has experience in a number of BEE acquisition transactions, project finance and early equity funding solutions for junior mining companies. Abel has headed various business units within the IDC ranging from Franchising to Food, Beverages & Agric Industries.
He serves on various boards including Kalagadi Manganese, Corridor Sands Limitada ( Mozambique), Algorax (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Evonik Industries (German) and Umicore Autocat (SA) (Pty) Ltd.
Lindani Mthwa MBA (Demontford – UK)Non Executive Director
Lindani has a mining background and started his career at AngloGold and later moved on to AngloPlatinum as a Production Manager.He is the co-founder and executive chairperson of Siyanda Resources and has grown the company from R3m in 2003 to the R400m company it is today.
Lindani Co- established interest at Koornfontein Coal, Eloff, DMS, Masa, Kalahari, Kangwane Anthracite.
He is also part of the team that influenced the MPRDA with the then Minister Of Mineral and Energy, Bakubung Junior Fund and African Renaissance Institute.
Thandi Ndlovu BSc. (Biology), BMChBNon Executive Director
After running a successful medical practice in Orange Farm, Thandi pursued a career in the construction industry.Dr. Ndlovu was one of the founder members of the South African Women in Construction (SAWIC) in 1996, and has served on the National SAWIC Board. She is the current National President of the Association.
She is also a member of Women for Housing (SA). She sits on various corporate boards, including the board of Truworths International, has served both the Councils of the Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and the Councilor The Playhouse Company – KwaZulu-Natal.
She recently stepped down from the Board of the Businesswomen’s Association (BWA) after completing her term of office.
Nonhlanhla Mjoli-Mncube BBA Non Executive Director
Nonhlanhla Mjoli-Mncube runs her own companies Mjoli Development Company (Pty) Ltd and Eziko Investments, and The Alpha Network for Women.
She is the ex-economic advisor to presidency in South Africa, has been executive at Murray and Roberts subsidiary(BDA), has worked as a manager in the USA, town planner in KZN, as well as chairperson and executive director, of NURCHA, a guarantee fund for housing.
She is the ex chair of Rural Housing Loan fund, South African Women entrepreneurs, deputy chair of Construction Industry Development Board.
She has been winner of SABC Lebone business woman of the year ward, and sits on several listed company boards.
