Litter Picking Campaign

Kalagadi Manganese Mine leadership together with staff embarked on a litter picking campaign aimed at the following:

• To educate employees on waste separation;
• To make employees aware of disadvantages of littering and incorrect disposal; and
• To clean the mine premises.
• To try change employees' mind sets and behaviour in relation to managing their own environment.

We also invited the following contractors on site to participate and we received overwhelming support for them to clean their work areas :

• Destiny camp and parking
• Black Magic
• Brettrow Security
• Amaloba
• Tsalanyang

Team Spirit

From the campaign we learnt a few lessons, among which is that those littering must be monitored and must take responsibility to correct their behaviour.
